When I grow up I want to be...

My contract in employment expired at the end of March so I said my farewells to colleagues, now friends, last Wednesday before the Easter break. Upon returning home I discussed careers and jobs with the Mini Mes and we began to talk about what they would like to be when they grew up.

Minxy would like to be a teacher, I was fairly certain she would say that as she usually does when we chat about the future and she likes to play schools with all her bears lined up in her room.

Jamster however usually says an ice cream man, for the endless supply of flakes, sauce and sweet treats he tells me, but he surprised me with this....

Yep, he wants to be a spy! I asked him why and his response was:

"Because they have guns and kill the bad people and that. I like wearing a tie too and I like fast cars."

Perhaps a little too much Johnny English and James Bond recently?

What does your little one want to be when they grow up?

  1. I think I like the sound of an ice cream man - or woman - myself! Although a spy is a rather exciting prospect. It seems that James Bong(!) is topical this week :) x

  2. Haha ice-cream man! Soo cute! :) Once my niece told me: "I want to have a real job, not like you, auntie!" (I am a translator working from home...)
    Haha it hurt! :)

  4. I think being a spy sounds brilliant, I'd love the fast car :) But I also agree that an ice cream man would be a fab job, I don't think I'd ever get fed up of eating chocolate flakes!!

  8. Ah but spies have way more fun than Ice cream men! Bug used to want to be a bin lorry driver but he's changed since our trip to Florida. Now he wants to be a dolphin trainer!
