Created Fairy Paper Chains (and been on a fairy woodland walk)

You can grab the badge and link up your own Fairy posts at the bottom.

Fairy Biscuit Wands

Ingredients
Biscuits
4oz butter
2oz caster sugar
6oz plain flour

Decorating
Chocolate
Sprinkles

Method
  • Preheat the oven to 180 degrees
  • Combine the butter and sugar together in a bowl and then add in the flour
  • Roll out to around 2cm in thickness and cut out with a star cutter before placing on a baking tray
  • Add your wooden sticks ensuring they go deep into the centre of the biscuit
  • Cook for around 12-15 minutes until lightly golden
  • Allow to cool
  • Decorate the star biscuits (we used melted chocolate and sprinkles then tied ribbon onto the sticks)
  • Scoff!

Fairy Paper Chains
(and our fairy woodland walk)

Equipment
A4 sheet of paper
Pencil
Scissors

Method
Fold the sheet of A4 paper in half horizontally
Unfold and cut out the 2 strips
Fold each strip in concertina style
Once complete draw on a fairy leaving certain parts (wings and hands) open on either side to create the chain
Cut out the image
Unfold the paper to reveal your paper chain of fairies

We also created tiaras, wands and wings and decided to go on a fairy hunt in Badby Wood.
It always feels very enchanted there and is filled with stunning Bluebells.

We looked for locations of where fairies may live and studied the big roots of very old trees.

We decided to leave our wands at a little spot where people have left toys over the past few years...

...and where we thought fairies may also like to play and eat.
We hung our paper chains around the trees nearby to decorate.

Rise Of The Guardians Movie

I love this movie where the legendary guardians; the Easter Bunny, Father Christmas, Jack Frost, Sandman and of course the Tooth Fairy, team up to defeat the evil Pitch (Black). It's all about believing in things even if you can't see them and it's a magical tale about team work.

If you have any Fairy themed posts you can link them up below.
You can grab the badge code here too if you wish.

Next week the theme will be Dogs.

The fairy wand biscuits look delicious and I'm sure the hunt for fairies was great fun in such an ideal setting. What a lovely touch in leaving toys as well, thanks for sharing your fairy fun with Country Kids.
