Yankee Candle Indian Summer Collection *WIN*

It's so lovely returning home after a long day out to the inviting scent of candles. Not only can the aroma be really relaxing and help you to chill after a stressful shift, but they also hide any smells from pets and cooking which is always handy, especially when guests call by.

Yankee Candle are soon to launch their 'Indian Summer: Votive Happiness' boxes which contain 4 votive candles, and being obsessed with their Vanilla Cupcake candle already I was keen to give these a go before their release. They also bring a little of summer into your home even when the weather isn't on your side which certainly cheers me up!

The new Indian Summer fragrances include Wild Fig, Amber Moon, Ginger Dusk and Honey Glow and the set of 4 sampler candles arrive in a pretty presentation box, making them a great gift solution.
Being smaller in size and really affordable, at just £6.99, it allows you to try the new scents before opting for a favourite and purchasing larger jars which I really appreciate. I'm a big fan of candles at home but it's nice to properly try before you invest in something bigger and more expensive.

Each votive is well labelled although the scents are incredibly strong so they are easy to identify. They burn for around 15 hours each and they are pretty enough in appearance with their warm shades to have as decorative items around your home too if you wish. You could easily coordinate them to your decor and they would sit nicely on a shelf or table for some colour.

  • Honey Glow - 'The soft, captivating radiance of this sweet perfume creates an invitingly warm, peaceful mood.'
  • Ginger Dusk - 'The brisk feeling of twilight air comes to life with the energy of sharp, bracing spice and a hint of sweet citrus.'
  • Amber Moon - 'The enchanting allure of warm golden amber in the evening breeze with the added intrigue of patchouli and sandalwood.'
  • Wild Fig - 'A luxurious indulgence … the lusciously rich, fruity aroma of wild figs carefully picked at the peak of perfection.'

My favourite was the Wild Fig as I do like fruity and sweet scents whereas the Mini Mes really liked the Ginger Dusk as it reminded them of baking gingerbread men! All of the fragrances match their description well which I was pleased with.

They are nice on the patio table in the evening while enjoying a glass of wine or to unwind with in the bath.
