Family Fashion - A House of Fraser Tea Party

We have quite a few mini things to celebrate at the moment; a successful start to the new academic year, great school reports and a nice break to look forward to in a few weeks time. We decided these were actually reason enough for a little party in the garden before winter arrives (not that an excuse is ever needed), and the lovely peeps over at House of Fraser let us pick out some new clothing. They even teamed their outfits with some goody bags too...

Jamster is 8 and the size 7-8 years in both the jumper and jeans were perfect for him with room for growth. The knitted jumper is lightweight enough to wear by itself on warmer days but it also goes well teamed with a shirt on colder days or for a smarter layered look. The striped trim adds some detail and the wide round neck makes it a really comfortable fit.

The jeans are slim fit and have a standard button fly which was a little stiff initially but soon loosened up. Jamster is quite petite and the adjustable waist was really appreciated as I could tighten the top nicely so a belt wasn't required and I didn't need to worry about them falling down. They have 5 pockets (plenty of space to hide conkers and Zomlings!) and being made of cotton they, like the jumper, are machine washable.

A great value duo.

Minxy is quite a tomboy so I was surprised by her feminine choice of outfit... she did however choose to team this lovely polka dot dress with jeans and then leggings on a separate occasion! In size 10-11 years it sat just above her knee which was perfect and the colour, she opted for red over navy, is really bold to make a statement. All of the buttons open so you could add another top underneath with the colder weather on the way although I think she will just add a cardigan and tights in the near future.

This has become a firm favourite in her wardrobe and she is looking forward to wearing it for some parties this season. It is hand wash only but I popped it on a delicate setting which has been fine so far.

Both love their new clothes and the treats that they were so kindly sent with them....

Have you had a look at the House of Fraser Kids range recently?
