Our Family Holiday in Zante

One of my biggest passions is travel. I may not necessarily like flying but the sea washing over my flip flops as I stroll along golden sands, beautiful tropical scenery and family fun is something I crave in a hot climate. If I'm not abroad then I've always got a break fast approaching. I find visiting new destinations exciting and I like to explore different cultures and cuisines as regularly as possible - we have Madeira booked to visit next!

We went to Kefalonia last year for one of our holidays and as we all enjoyed it so much we decided another Ionian Island would be ideal; Zakynthos, or Zante as it is often known. I generally opt for quite small resorts in a quiet location, but somewhere that has enough entertainment to keep us occupied, as I don't like busy cities. I settled on a two bedroom apartment and our accommodation was situated near some quaint tavernas and shops with the beach literally on our doorstep. The views from our balcony were lovely.

I've put together a little video of our time there:

Have you booked a summer holiday yet?

  2. We're off to Kos in October after our surprise visit to Corsica last week, but it'll be all seven of us so I'm really looking forward to it. Doesn't feel right without all of us there. I love Greece, just gorgeous x

  3. It looks like you had a great family holiday there, the kids don't stop smiling throughout the whole video. Zante is such a beautiful place to visit, the kids are lucky they get to explore such great places too. We're hopefully off to France but the issues at Calais are a bit unnerving. Thanks for linking up with me on Country Kids.

  4. Those beaches look wonderful. I think we would go for a smaller resort as well. They are less overwhelming and you have a chance to see more of the local area #countrykids
