Cooking with the Kids this Summer

When sports day is over, the end of term reports are handed out and the school gates close for the final time this academic year, you may be left wondering how you can keep the kids entertained for the 6 weeks of summer. Cooking is a valuable life skill, and not to mention great fun too, so it may be worth investing in some bakeware and getting creative in the kitchen.

This low cost set is ideal for your little beginners so there is no better time to begin mixing up some treats for family and friends.

Wham Baking Starter Set Review. 2lb Loaf tin with ginger loaf

This British made starter set has a Whitford non-stick coating which is an affordable alternative to enamel or Teflon versions - it's ideal for the occasional cook or children in particular.
What More UK Ltd, the UK’s largest manufacturer of quality plastic household and storage products, has expanded into making bakeware recently and this box includes a 2lb loaf tin, 12 cup muffin tin, multi use tray and oven tray for just £15. If you're hoping to make some picnic food or goodies to take on your day trips then you can do so with ease using this set as it has all of the essential equipment.

Wham Baking Starter Set Box Image

We decided to dabble in a bit of baking at the weekend and I found the tins and trays were really robust and easy to clean. We made a ginger loaf in the 2lb tin and I had no trouble lifting it out with the grease proof paper strip while there was no sticky residue left behind either. Similarly, the iced muffins we made slid straight out of the cups and my homemade chips from the tray.

I was pleasantly surprised by the quality despite the bargain price and I would certainly recommend picking up a set if you're planning on making some tasty recipes with the children. The set does exactly what is required yet I don't need to worry too much about any damage in the long run due to the price.

You can find out more on this baking starter pack at whamproducts.co.uk or purchase a set at Hobbycraft.

For your chance to WIN a Wham Baking Starter Set you can enter via the Gleam entry form below.

The giveaway ends at 11.59pm GMT on 9th August 2016.

Leaving a comment is compulsory but there are lots of additional entry methods available also to increase your chances.

Good luck!
