Hot Wheels Super Speed Blastway Review

Jamster has always loved playing with cars and over the years he has built up a vast collection of Hot Wheels tracks and diecast vehicles. The latest set to be added to the toy box is the Super Speed Blastway which at only £22.99 is quite an affordable toy to purchase.

There are two launch bays where cars can be loaded and when the triggers are pressed they zoom around the track which activates the pit crew pegs to pop up into the air. The idea is to be the first person to release them all above the grandstand and raise the finish flag - it's seriously fast moving and great for competitive play! Some skill is required but generally anyone can have a go. The way the trigger is pressed can alter the speed that the car travels at slightly so you need to get it just right to go round the loop successfully. I think that just adds to the enjoyment.

New Shoes

Ensuring the Mini Mes have properly fitted footwear is really important when it comes to their growth and development as wearing incorrect shoes can cause no end of issues for tiny toes. We generally have our feet measured at Brantano every 3 months as advised, and have done for several years, but it's always lovely to be invited to a store to review their service and receive new shoes in the process, which we were asked to do recently.

Upon arrival we were greeted by staff and shown to the fitting area. There is a table of WOW Toys to keep little ones entertained and also a large variety of stationery, bags, umbrellas and other accessories to browse while waiting. The wait wasn't long however and within minutes the Mini Mes had taken off their existing Nike footwear and were stood on the iPad foot gauge to have their feet sized. The device used was from Clarks and with whole and half size measurements and four different widths it really helps to ensure the perfect fit. It's interactive (they can pick a character, insert their name and age) which means children can really get involved with the entire experience.

Family Fashion - A House of Fraser Tea Party

We have quite a few mini things to celebrate at the moment; a successful start to the new academic year, great school reports and a nice break to look forward to in a few weeks time. We decided these were actually reason enough for a little party in the garden before winter arrives (not that an excuse is ever needed), and the lovely peeps over at House of Fraser let us pick out some new clothing. They even teamed their outfits with some goody bags too...

A Hassle-Free Holiday With APH

There is nothing quite like packing a suitcase, getting a flight to somewhere hot with beautiful views and enjoying a well deserved break from the norm. The Mini Mes are in their element on a sandy beach and I am never as relaxed as I am when sat beside a pool, palm trees swaying in the warm breeze while sipping a cocktail (or two!) before sneaking off to scoff the all inclusive buffet. Getting to and from our destination always seems to be a bit of a mission though, something that would give Ethan Hunt a run for his money! With heavy bags and hand luggage, coats and important documents to hand the last thing you really want to do is drop your car off miles away, wait around for a bus and then struggle to get everything onboard (and off again) before arriving at the airport.
It would be much easier to drive straight there and jump out wouldn't it.

Back To School With Smiggle - WIN A £50 Bundle

The fresh uniforms are ironed and labelled, the fridge is stocked with lunch box goodies and the new bags are hung up above the shiny shoes. Although selecting all of these new items is fun, getting the stationery and pencil cases is our favourite part of going back to school and we like to seek out the most fun and quirky products available. It makes writing those stories and drawing those pictures a little more exciting doesn't is?

Smiggle certainly helps with this!

Minecraft Mad - Animal Mobs and Steve with Diamond Armour

Minecraft certainly isn't something that appeals to me but the Mini Mes are obsessed with it. It's rare to have a day pass without Cave Spiders, Creepers and Endermen mentioned or without a request for time on the Xbox. They can be creative through game play and I've never seen them team up together so eagerly as brother and sister, with no bickering whatsoever, which is definitely a positive thing. They were delighted when some figures arrived in the post for them recently as they can now play the game off screen too - I don't need to worry about those square eyes quite so much either!

This set includes 6 animals featured in Minecraft; a cow, sheep, pig, wolf, ocelot and a chicken. Each figure has a pixelated look so they appear near identical to how they are on the game and each has

Outdoor Family Fun - With Hasbro and Spin Master

The beautiful weather has enabled us to spend plenty of time in the great outdoors climbing trees, walking across the fields... and playing with a giant glider. With a 4ft wingspan it's a seriously impressive toy and we have all enjoyed throwing it to see just how far it can travel before landing in the grass.

The Air Hogs Titan is ideal for anyone, including competitive siblings and families (like ours), as you can see who can throw it the furthest, do the best stunts and run alongside it the quickest. We have used it so many times already and there are plenty of giggles shared each time. We practise our
