BIG Brand Deliveries at TK Maxx (PLUS your chance to WIN)

With spring on the way there is no better time to top up your wardrobe so TK Maxx's biggest-ever brand delivery to stores nationwide will certainly help! They offer amazing designer brands across women’s, men’s and kids’ apparel, accessories, toys and leading homeware names, so the Mr and I went to our local branch in Northampton for a little spree...

I really love TK Maxx for the variety of items available for the entire family, all under one roof, making shopping so convenient. The Mini Mes have had a bit of a growth spurt since last year and with so many designer gems at affordable prices it was no surprise I popped lots of goodies into my trolley for them.

Jamster loves polo style tops so this was ideal for him, especially at just £16.99 - less than half of the RRP! The quality is superb and he could easily team this with jeans and trainers for a casual look or dress it up for a more formal occasion.

I also picked up some trousers for him, with an adjustable waist for the perfect fit. These were less than a quarter of the RRP, such a bargain and far cheaper than alternative children's clothing stores sell similar for.

Minxy is really into fashion as a tween girl. She tends to opt for comfortable yet stylish pieces so a long sleeved slogan top and a hooded sweater were the items I purchased for her (along with a few bits to put away for her birthday).

This pretty grey piece with pink stitching was a third of the price whereas the top was just £3.99. Seriously super for savvy shoppers.

Clearing Out The Closets To Beat Childhood Cancer Sooner

With our little ones returning to, or starting, a year of academic adventure as school begins, it's a great opportunity to detox the wardrobes and make space for the new uniforms. Those crisp, ironed shirts, pleated skirts and polished patent shoes all need to find their place for this term and beyond, so it's time to shift the summer fashion and free up some hangers!

The Mini Mes grow so quickly that their clothes rarely last more than two seasons so with the arrival of autumn I can remove their t-shirts and shorts and put them to better use.

Their taste changes rapidly when it comes to characters so I can get rid of these Hello Kitty and Moshi Monster items!

Red nosed biscuits

How about baking some of these this Red Nose Day; you can help to raise funds for Comic Relief by selling them to friends and family and have some family fun in the process! They are simple and quick to make and rather delicious too.
You can even add funny faces to them with chocolate...

 Ingredients
6oz butter
9oz plain flour
4 1\2 oz caster sugar
1 egg yolk
Jam to fill
Chocolate to decorate

Method
Preheat the oven to 180 degrees.
Combine the flour and butter together in a bowl.
Add the sugar and egg yolk and mix well to create a soft dough.
Split the dough in half and roll each out on a floured work surface to around 4mm thick.

Cut out 14 circles from each half (5cm/2" cutter)
For half of the dough cut a circle out from the centre of each round (we used a piping nozzle to do so).
Cook all 28 rounds for 12-15 minutes until lightly browned.
Allow to cool.
Put jam on the complete rounds and add a round with a hole in the centre on top.

Add a little more jam in the hole.
Decorate with chocolate to create some funny faces if you wish. We used Nutella in a piping bag.
Scoff!!
How you can help this Comic Relief
