Inspired by true events, “Dolphin Tale 2” continues the story of brave dolphin Winter, whose miraculous rescue and rehabilitation - thanks to the invention of a groundbreaking prosthetic tail — made her a symbol of perseverance to people around the world and inspired the 2011 family hit movie “Dolphin Tale.”

Magical Moments - Movies
Sitting together, in silence.
They knowingly glance at one another, smirk, turn and giggle at their favourite parts.
Two peas in a pod.
Eating from eachother's plate and swapping their nibbles for others they prefer.
Without a word, like mind readers.
A natural closeness.
Brother and sister bonds.

Friendship is Magic - Welcome To Ponyville
I always loved My Little Pony as a child so receiving the revamped version on DVD instantly brought back memories of my youth - I was probably more excited to watch it with the opportunity to reminisce than the Mini Mes were!
While unwrapping the movie I began to remember having my own collection, brushing their tails, placing a doll on their back and making them gallop around my room which made me feel quite warm inside. Childhoods are made of magic and imagination and this is something I definitely want my children to experience too.
I was really looking forward to sharing a part of what I enjoyed as a little girl with them so we snuggled up under a blanket to watch an episode together.
There are 6 episodes in total, all of which teach valuable lessons about friendship.
Despite Jamster not being keen initially at the thought of watching something aimed at a predominantly female audience he was actually the one to ask to watch another episode so he must have enjoyed it!
The episodes were all quite entertaining and I liked the modern style of a more traditional show... we ended up watching them all in one sitting.
· Friendship is Magic – Part 1
· Friendship is Magic – Part 2
· Griffon the Brush-off
· Look Before You Sleep
· Swarm of the Century
· Owl's Well That Ends Well
Meet Twilight Sparkle, a very special little pony with a very powerful gift for magical spells and loves to study. As part of her ongoing studies, she has been tasked an assignment by the Royal Princess Celestia of Equestria to learn something new… The true meaning of friendship.
In the quaint, magical village of Ponyville, Twilight Sparkle sets off on her assignment with her best friend, a little purple dragon called Spike and makes some new and adorable friends along the way. Join her and her pony friends Pinkie Pie, Rarity, Fluttershy, Rainbow Dash and Applejack on their enchanting and laughter-filled adventures as they discover the most powerful magic of all time, the Magic of Friendship!
Welcome to Ponyville is rated U making it suitable for the entire family and is available from many retailers.
RRP £12.99.
As a recent survey by Clearvision showed the majority of young children prefer traditional toys to tech gadgets this may be a good gift idea for Santa to slip into a stocking this year!
Do you remember My Little Pony from your childhood?

Equipment
A4 sheet of paper

Scissors
Method
Fold the sheet of A4 paper in half horizontally
Unfold and cut out the 2 strips
Fold each strip in concertina style
Once complete draw on a fairy leaving certain parts (wings and hands) open on either side to create the chain
Cut out the image
Unfold the paper to reveal your paper chain of fairies
We also created tiaras, wands and wings and decided to go on a fairy hunt in Badby Wood.
It always feels very enchanted there and is filled with stunning Bluebells.
We looked for locations of where fairies may live and studied the big roots of very old trees.
We decided to leave our wands at a little spot where people have left toys over the past few years...
...and where we thought fairies may also like to play and eat.
We hung our paper chains around the trees nearby to decorate.

Rise Of The Guardians Movie
I love this movie where the legendary guardians; the Easter Bunny, Father Christmas, Jack Frost, Sandman and of course the Tooth Fairy, team up to defeat the evil Pitch (Black). It's all about believing in things even if you can't see them and it's a magical tale about team work.

Watch, Bake, Create - Dinosaurs
This is an activity link up where you can share your recipes and crafts based around a particular theme. This week focuses on dinosaurs and we have made Fossil Cookies, D is for Dinosaur Window Art and watched Dinosaur DVD.
You can grab the badge and link up your own posts at the bottom.
Dinosaur Fossil Cookies
Using a basic cookie recipe we transformed ordinary biscuits into fossil food! With the Mini Mes dinosaur toys, we pushed their feet deep into the cookies, almost all the way through, to create prints within them.

225g butter
110g caster sugar
275g plain flour
- Preheat the oven to 180 degrees.
- Combine the ingredients together to form a dough.
- Roll into small balls and flatten slightly (to around 1cm thickness maximum).
- Push the toys into the cookie rounds to create the prints.
- Cook for 12-15 minutes until golden.
- Scoff!
D is for Dinosaur Window Art
With a capital D for the body, this cellophane dinosaur craft not only helps to teach about the alphabet but is pretty to display in windows to allow different colours to shine through into your room.
Equipment
Card
Pens
Scissors
Glue
Cellophane
Method
Draw a large capital d onto the card and cut it out, removing the centre too.
Using the D as a template, cut out a piece of cellophane the same size.
Attach the cellophane to the D using the glue.
Draw feet, a tail and neck with head onto the card, cut out and attach to the D with glue.
Draw on facial features, toes etc.
Allow a few minutes to dry completely.
Display in your window.
Dinosaur DVD

This movie is a family favourite where a group of dinosaurs face several challenges and learn about the importance of friendship along the way.
Aladar the iguanodon, separated from his parents as an egg, is raised by lemurs within a jungle. After a meteor shower destroys his homeland his journey begins to find a safe place to live.
If you have any dinosaur themed posts you can link them up below.
You can grab the badge too if you wish.
Next week the theme will be Mermaids.

Reasons to be Happy
My reasons to be happy
The past few days flew by so quickly but we had a wonderful Christmas. I am very grateful for all of the lovely gifts that we received, the delicious roast dinner and buffet tea cooked by my mum and a relaxing Boxing Day. The Mini Mes were up at 6.20am filled with excitement waiting to see if Santa had been and they were still buzzing at 8.30pm when they finally settled for bed.
My blogging Secret Santa gift arrived - a lovely Bumble Bee set from Lush. Thank you, whoever you are, I love it as does Minxy so I need to hide it away!
Yesterday after sorting all of the cardboard and finding places for all the new toys, the Mini Mes went to their dad's house so I headed to the cinema to see The Hobbit with my mum and sister which is a superb movie. The Mr went to the pub with my dad and sister's boyfriend for a few pints and to play darts so it was nice to have the girls together while the lads were occupied too.
I don't tend to do a lot of shopping in the sales but I managed to pick up some calendars, a onesie and some nice smellies.
I'm really looking forward to New Year's Eve. Usually the Mr and I stay in, watch a movie and have a few drinks (I've never been out for it!) but this year my parents are hosting a party with all of the family round and I can't wait. It's this time of year when loved ones are appreciated and I really enjoy spending time with them so I feel it will be lovely.
What reasons to you have to be cheerful this week?

Nativity 2: Danger in the Manger
I wondered how the sequel would compare to the 2009 family favourite; Nativity, but it's definitely not one to be missed if you enjoy a British comedy. With fun and frolics from the start it has the Christmas feel good factor and some tear jerker moments thrown in too.
David Tennant as Mr Peterson and estranged twin brother Roderick, takes on the role as a primary school teacher at St Bernadette's. However, with Mr Poppy the wild and silly classroom assistant, he struggles to deal with life at the school and juggling his care for his heavily pregnant wife (Joanna Page). Pam Ferris with reprise roll as Mr Poppy's aunt and headteacher, promises Mr Peterson the job of head if he will put up with the unruly class and assistant until Christmas, despite their crazy and secret plan to enter the Song for Christmas competition.
With the chance of a releasing a song and winning £10,000, Mr Poppy is keen to take part regardless of the lack of talent and auditions are held before they gallivant, without permission, to Wales in a bus turned boat. The movie follows the adventures of the class across beautiful welsh countryside in the search for Christmas Castle where the competition takes place. With a magical donkey, a stolen baby and mountain rescue there are lots of giggles to be had by young and old alike.
Mr Peterson's class competes against the likes of Mr Shakespeare's group from Oakmore and the posh choir of St Cuthbert's college, conducted by his brother Roderick.... but do they win - I'll leave you to find out!
This movie had me and my mum smiling at heart warming magic despite a few classic cheesy moments that Christmas themed films bring. Aimed at a younger audience it will really appeal to little ones and have them giggling along at the road trip gone wrong and the daft character of Mr Poppy.
Charity tickets are available for the movie with proceeds being donated to Children in Need.

8pm - The Gallery
Mondays we are usually saying our goodbyes and just leaving my Grans house after a family catch up - with lots of chocolate and biscuits being scoffed.
Tuesdays and Thursdays the Mini Mes are fast asleep and the Mr and I are just settling down to watch a movie with a glass of wine or two.
Wednesdays and some Fridays and Saturdays the Mini Mes go to their dads house for the night. The Mr and I are usually enjoying a meal out, a trip to the pub to play darts and catch up with family (hmmm we are starting to sound like alcoholics!) or a visit to the cinema to watch the latest release.
Sunday the Mini Mes are always tucked up, fast asleep ready for school in the morning and I'm usually soaking in the tub after a busy weekend.
I love how peaceful the Mini Mes look when they are fast asleep. Jamster often ends up with his feet on his pillow surrounded by his bears and Minxy is usually muttering something between snores!
The Gallery Theme this week is 8pm

If I were a romantic movie... meme
The fab Umar from Trinket of Treasure has invited me to join in with her 'If I were' Meme about romantic movies *wit woo*. I'm a bit more of a sci-fi lover really (they usually end tragically though) but I have seen a fair few in my time so it got me thinking, which should I choose!?
I would be 'The Ugly Truth' starring Katherine Heigl and Gerard Butler.
It's romantic without the mush. It's a fantastic, funny romantic comedy and it helps to show that life rarely goes how you expect it to, but that's not always for the worse. Love can sometimes be right infront of you without you even realising. Those that may irritate you or embarrass you may actually be the love of your life. Sometimes you just need to take the time to discover that there is more to people than you think. Don't judge a book by it's cover and all that!
If I were… A Romantic Movie
Description:
Katherine plays Abby, a successful tv show producer looking for love. Mike, played by the rather tasty Gerard Butler is the shows star and is convinved that Katherine can't find the man of her dreams, as afterall men only want one thing don't they? However after providing advice to Katherine to pull the sexy doctor next door and a few bizarre dating experiences they both end up falling for eachother instead.
Reasons for my choice:
So, that’s me done! I'm going to tag a few people to join in and if you would like to create a post you can pop the link in the comments below once you're done and I'll pop over for a read and a nosey at your blog.
