The weather has cooled so it's time to fill up on warm, winter foods. This spaghetti bolognese is rich in flavour and a family favourite.
Ingredients
800g beef steak mince
6 bacon rashers
2 onions
6 closed cup mushrooms
2 cloves of garlic
1 tbsp mixed herbs
800g chopped tomatoes
2 tbsp tomato puree
Method
Slice the onions and cut the bacon up into small pieces and then fry them until lightly browned (on the hob for 2-3 minutes). Then add them to the slow cooker.
Brown the mince on the hob and then add to the slow cooker.
Add the rest of the ingredients and stir thoroughly.
Cook on high for 3 hours or auto for 6 hours.
Serve with spaghetti.
Scoff!
What a lovely addition to Bolognese, going to try it as I think the bacon will add a lovely taste. Thanks for joining into Slow Cooker Sunday

ReplyDeleteI'm not sure why I'd use the slow cooker for this as it's so quickly done on the hob. I suppose when the kids need feeding it's nice to have it there and ready. Thank you for the recipe.
