A look of anticipation and another of deep concentration.
They can fight like cat and dog yet play nicely together, so naturally.
Effortlessly.
Each grits their teeth for the challenge then eagerly awaits their next turn.
Being patient and providing encouraging words.
Offering support.
Playing happily together, yet against the other, as brother and sister.
We are never more fully alive, more completely ourselves, or more deeply engrossed in anything, than when we are at play.

Which games do your children enjoy?
I love that they are sitting cross legged - reminds me of my years teaching yoga.
ReplyDeleteBless them that they can play nicely - truly a magic moment where Mummy can relax xx

DeleteI wrote a similar post to this today....my kids are so often found bickering that it's an absolute pleasure to take a snap of them playing harmoniously together!
ReplyDeleteTotally, have to make the most out of them getting on ;) x
DeleteLove Kerplunk, brilliant game! It's funny isn't it, children have their moments of playing so well together even if they're competing against each other. A lovely photo :)
ReplyDeleteAhhh bless. My four play quite well together too and we have several Drummond Park games. My kids ar 6, 7, 8 and 9 so very close in age (2 of each). I think this is an advantage because they like similar games.
ReplyDeleteIs that ker plunk? I absolutely love love love loved that game as a kid. I didn't realise they still did it. I think Mads will be a bit small soon but might have to get it when she is a bit bigger. x
