Congratulations, you’re expecting! The next nine months will be a great learning
and growing experience for you and your significant other. Of course, the focus
will be on you, so soak it all in and treat yourself right!
In the very early stages, set aside some “me” time for a nice warm bath, indulge
in your favourite show or movie, or cuddle up with a good book. After you take
some “me” time, take some “we” time! Before the craziness of parenthood fully
hits you, book a little getaway weekend. It can be a nearby location or you can travel
to a different country all together. No matter what, just take some time to love
yourself and your significant other before you shower your baby with love. Also,
during your pregnancy—and all the ups and downs that go along with it after—keep
a diary. It will allow
you to record all of your thoughts, feelings, and ideas. After the baby is born, you can look back at it and relive all the feelings you felt while pregnant.

There are many easy ways to treat yourself. Have a pedicure, put your feet up with a magazine or go on a shopping spree with friends. All of these activities will help lift some stress off your
shoulders and allow you to enjoy your pregnancy. If you’re feeling a little stiff, ask
your partner for a massage before bed. If you are willing to spend a little
extra money, go pamper yourself at a spa and truly relax - you deserve it. Enjoy the early nights
while you can! Get into bed and surf the Internet for all things baby, or just veg
out and watch a film. Once the baby arrives, you may have some sleepless
nights, so cherish those precious dreams. In your free time, go walking.
This will give you more energy, help you sleep, and improve your mood. Who
doesn’t love sunshine and birds chirping?
Try new things. Go to a comedy club and have a good laugh, buy some fancy
lingerie, or purchase new shoes! These little treats will do you wonders and are what distract you from the stresses of pregnancy while new lingerie
will help your growing assets feel more comfortable. New shoes will become your
best friend! Your feet may be sore or swollen, so skip the high heels and find
some cute—yet sensible—shoes that you can flaunt every day. Your feet, and
whole body, will thank you!
So, pregnancy! A wonderful experience where you grow closer to your significant
other, and find out more about yourself. During the nine months, be sure to love
yourself and make the most of your time before your bundle of joy is welcomed into the world.

Great list - completely agree with you - most of all rest while you have the change and cook to freeze!
ReplyDeleteYou've got pretty much everything covered there, the only thing I would add is go to the cinema! As much as possible. You can go once you've had a baby but a simple cinema outing becomes very expensive when you factor in a babysitter, and sitting in the dark when you're sleep-deprived often ends up with you missing the film while you catch up on sleep!
