Babies bond by smell so ensuring your scent is near your newborn while feeding can really help to build a connection and keep them calm. It really helps to comfort a baby when mum isn't nearby too and it is therefore the ideal product for working mums who leave their little one with a childminder or just for parents that want to share feeding duties.
How to use Mamascent
'Mothers simply place a comfortable Mamascent™ pad inside their bra and wear it for approximately three hours. When the baby is ready to feed, the mother or caregiver can attach one of the pad's five petals to an easy-to-use fastening clip that fits most standard-sized baby bottles. Whether being fed by mother, father, grandparent, nanny or babysitter, the baby smells the scented petal, thus replicating the sensory experience of breastfeeding.'
You can view a brief video on how Mamascent works here:
The kit includes twenty pads, each with 5 petals, a container for storage while travelling and two clips to fasten the pads to your baby's bottles - everything you need to begin.

Good luck!
I found swaddling my babies and holding them to my chest whist singing 'Catch a Fallin' Star' always settled them. All of mine were born early so all spent time in incubators so it was important to become involved with their care as soon as possible, changing nappies, tub feeding, daily bathing etc. Ahhhh the memories are still fresh!
