At Home With House of Fraser

Last year we had a beautiful new kitchen fitted and I've been looking for a few finishing touches recently. It's the little things like matching place mats, colour coded electricals, vases, plus other pretty accessories that really complete the look and bring it all together, isn't it?

House of Fraser have far more homeware products than I realised and I had a really nice time browsing the website for a few bits. I've already picked up some new plates and cutlery but these cute red stoneware Linea Maison egg cups were great value and a nice addition to the table for breakfast; just £3.60 for a set of 4.

Being red they complement the kitchen well too.

With the new kitchen we also had a full rewire, the walls replastered and painted so although they are smooth and fresh they were looking a little boring and bare. I'm still on the hunt for some family themed wall art, an emotive quote of some sort, but this house shaped shelf by Dickins & Jones will go perfectly. Made of wood it is sturdy and the shape is a bit unusual which I really like. The mounting clip was already attached making it quick and easy to hang.
I won't even need to ask the Mr for assistance!

I also purchased a Linea mulled berries reed diffuser to sit on the shelf to release fragrance in the room and to hide any smells from cooking. As well as being functional it looks pretty and the glass catches the light from the windows nicely. The cranberry, cherry & blackcurrant scent laced with both citrus and spice highlights matches the seasons well; the end of winter and the beginning of spring. I will reuse this for flowers once it runs out too so it definitely won't go to waste.

As always, I wandered a little from what I was originally looking for, the temptation was too much when I saw the word SALE in bold, and I purchased something for Minxy. She seems to have shot up and her usual nightwear is getting a bit too small so the Joules stripe and horse onesie really caught my eye. The print is so pink and pretty and she is fond of animals in general so I knew she would love it. The material is soft and it's machine washable which is ideal.

Have you had a look at the House of Fraser home range recently?
