Shoulder Buddies *Review*

This cute little companion is Diva, one of Golden Bear's Shoulder Buddies from the Land of Understand, and it arrived recently for Jamster and Minxy to wear!

Shoulder Buddies are aimed at children aged 4 to 8 years of age so it was ideal for Jamster being 6, although Minxy at nearly 9 has been spotted wearing it on more than one occasion too... I've even had the pink haired pal on me!
Launched in 2012 the first series sold out but with new versions for 2013 including Oceana, Pirate, Swiss and Flutter there will be a style to suit every taste available  - with Hello Kitty and Gemstone collections too!

Shoulder Buddies are there to be a friend to little ones and are great for those that may need a confidence boost or comforting in particular. First days at school and Brownies or Scouts can be a little daunting but having a small buddy attached to your top, bag or hat can provide a well needed helping hand and assist the nervous or shy through difficult situations.
They would be ideal for trips to the dentist and doctor or nights away from home too!

They attach really easily to a variety of clothing and surfaces with the magical coin (magnet) which is supplied. If you slip the coin under the sleeve of your top then place the Shoulder Buddy on top it will stay put well as it is held in place securely.

Jamster has worn it on his jumper while watching movies, while travelling attached on his seat belt and I've had it on my handbag while shopping. Jamster seems to adore it and it has kept him company when I've been occupied with work or chores so he hasn't felt alone, whereas Minxy likes to use it as a toy along with her other figures.

Each buddy has it's own name and a different design on its tummy, Diva's being a star. The pack includes a Smarts collectors card which explains each buddies life motto; I love to share my "superstar smarts" so everyone can shine like me!

The figures are great pocket money toys at £4.99 each and you can use the collectors cards to keep track of your own set. They are robust and heavyweight and the bright colours mean they are easy to find if misplaced as they stand out quite well.

  1. Their look kinda freaks me out but the message is awesome - shy kids could use all the help they need!
