Just as I expected Christmas and Boxing Day were over as quickly as they arrived! It was strange not having the Mini Mes for the celebrations, as they were with their dad, but they still opened their presents here on the 25th before they went. I cooked my first ever Christmas dinner (my mum usually hosts) so it was a little hectic in the kitchen but everything went to plan and tasted pretty good, even if I say so myself...
Luckily I have a year to recover!
From Wednesday I will be watching my weight again and counting down to Kefalonia so my meals will vary slightly from the rest of the family in terms of portion sizes.
I'm doing a Ryvita challenge for January where I intend to try different toppings on a variety of flavoured crispbreads each day and hopefully I'll shred a few pounds in the process!

Your Christmas dinner looks lovely. I'm going to try meal planning in 2014 too so it's good to get some ideas.
ReplyDeleteYour Christmas dinner looks great, we just had chicken this year abd I really missed my turkey! Will save up next year so I can get the free range turkey we always had before! Couldn't run to it this year :(
ReplyDeleteMeal planning is such a good idea, I'm rubbish at planning ahead but shall definitely give it a try in 2014.
