We are quite lucky that our ice cream man visits all year round with not only frozen treats but hot dogs, snacks and a variety of drinks. Whenever the music plays in our street, the Mini Mes eyes light up and if I've got some cash to hand I take them outside to select something.
I have a sweet tooth too (as if you didn't know) so I'm quite partial to his unique bubblegum flavour whip, and when my diet slips out of mind an ice cream often slips into my hand too!
We have a natter while he prepares our goodies, as you do, before we head back inside.
Minxy however thinks he has an ulterior motive...
"That ice cream man is always calling you baby and flirting isn't he! Well, he can keep away from my mum, he only wants you to buy more nougat wafers anyway doesn't he!"
At least I know she won't let future boyfriends mess her about, crikey!
She will learn in time that men and women can be chatty and friendly without it meaning more.
I don't think she needs to worry about anyone replacing the Mr... after all he buys me Ben & Jerry's Karamel Sutra.
What has made you laugh this week?
That is one resourceful ice-cream man! lol x
ReplyDeleteI remember writing this http://musingssahm.blogspot.co.uk/2009/10/ice-cream-meltdown-on-cold-sunday.html a little while ago. You couldn't make it up! Ice Cream vans rock!
