ReplyDeletemy son started school in September so coming to the end of his first year, he was the only child starting the school who hadn't been to the attached pre-school and also suffers separation anxiety but with the help of a specific teacher we have overcome a couple of battles he is doing exceptionally well and advanced in a number of subjects and because he will actually leave my side now ive been able to get a job! i cant thank his teachers enough

ReplyDeleteI'm a teacher and I used to work in special needs education. The best present I ever had was from a girl I had worked with. We had been through the mill together she'd had so many problems at home and had such low self esteem, but things were slowly getting better for her. At Christmas she went to a market and bought me a tiny wreath with her own money. It was the prettiest thing I've ever seen and can't have cost more than a pound, but I love it. Every year I put it up and it reminds me of her and the difference we can make to young people's lives

ReplyDeleteGoing on a school history trip to Germany, and having a snowball fight with the history teacher and bus load of students! He used to prank call all of the hotel rooms in the morning too. Such a good teacher - taught well, gave everyone the knowledge and the skills to apply it with, and made it all fun to learn with a silly side. Terrible dress sense though x
