My Christmas Gift Giveaway is back! 30 days, 30+ fantastic prizes.
A big thank you to my followers this year.
These three books are the first in the Whimsy Wood series from Sarah Hill which captivates the imaginations of young readers and transports them to a magical woodland setting in each short story. Suitable for children aged 6+, the books follow the adventures of Posie Pixie including her attempts to find a home for Autumn along with the friendships she makes with some lovely characters during her travels.
The reviews are really quite amazing too!
"Whimsy Wood is one of those places you imagined as a child. A place where bluebells aren't just there to look pretty but have a practical purpose too: because pixies need their flowers to use as hats. Posie Pixie sees the world like this. And through her (aided by the gorgeous illustrations; I loved the sad snail in particular, he made us smile), so do we. Posie is someone I'm looking forward to getting to know a whole lot better. We all have a little magic inside of us. One of the many great things about being a mum is that you get a free pass to visit magical whimsical places every day. Whimsy Wood is such a place. Buy the book and have a look. Like me, you and your little ones will want to go back, again and again. Only last week, one of my neighbours pointed out some "red fairy skirts" that a fallen from a nearby tree. You actually don't need a child, you just need to let yourself go for it. Read it; feed the magic inside!"
"A beautiful short story that captured both my sons (3,5) and my imagination. You can't help but fall in love with Posie Pixie and Rosa-May in this very sweet tale that cleverly includes lots of references to the flora and fauna found at that specific time of year (August). The illustrations are a perfect partnership to the story and provoked a lot of discussion from my boys who loved spotting cheeky wildlife creatures hiding in the detailed pictures. A lovely, feel good read that includes a worthwhile message- 'one good turn deserves another', definitely keen to buy the next Whimsy Wood adventure!"
"This is a lovely book and my children love it. We are working our way through the series. This is a well written story with lovely characters and beautiful illustrations. A must buy for your children."
And the illustrations are lovely as you can see!
