The shed is generally a no go zone for me. It's filled with spiders and that alone is reason enough not to enter! The sun was shining however and the Mini Mes wanted to go for a ride so I put on my bravery hat, entered and exited with their bikes as swiftly as possible (there may have a been a few shrill noises from me), and headed out to the nearby fields.
Now that they are getting older it's lovely to see their confidence building in their own ability. They zoomed down some pretty big hills and attempted a few jumps with no fear at all. It was probably me that was more worried although I'm trying to be less of a helicopter parent as time goes by so they can try and learn things unaided.
We returned home just before 9pm when the light was beginning to fade and instead of packing the bikes away I've put them on the patio ready for our next adventure.
What outdoor fun have you enjoyed this week?

ReplyDeleteWhat a fantastic adventure. We have been wanting to buy bikes for the whole family for awhile now. I can't wait to get them this Christmas for us all to go to Center Parcs with next year. This looks like so much fun was had by all and great captures on your adventures. Thank you so much for linking up to Share With Me. #sharewithme
ReplyDeleteYay to leaving the bikes out! So hard to get the balance right in parenting but they need to learn there own independence, They will be cycling along around those fields in no time and it looks like they loved the freedom of the evening sun and space of the fields. Well done on braving the fields, I remember spiders are your pet hate! Thanks for joining me for Country Kids.
