  7. My usual routine is to go around the whole house making sure everything is switched off/unplugged/shut/locked etc for peace of mind!

  8. I switch off my computer and have a chamomile tea an hour before bed then I spray lavender mist on my pillow and go to bed with a hot water bottle.In the Summer I forget the hot water bottle!

I find it hard to switch off at the end of the day so I do the reverse psychology trick of TRYING to think about everything that I need to do or plan something nice like a holiday/Christmas and I find after a few mins I've dropped off! If I actively try to clear my mind the opposite happens and I lie awake for ages

  25. I wish I had more of a relaxing bedtime routine but it mainly consists of me dragging myself to bed at 2am, brushing my teeth, face, hands and jumping into bed!

  31. It's a bit bizarre but I listen to the shipping forecast on radio 4! The monotonous voice sends me to sleep in just a couple of minutes.

  33. Catch up on the soaps just before bed (nothing like TV drama to help you forget about your own troubles!) then to bed about 9.45 where I will attempt to read for a few minutes - but it always ends with me falling asleep almost straight away!

  89. I have a bath then get in bed and read a book for a bit. I try and stay away from blue light such as my phone as it gives me an awful time trying to get to sleep, which has a knock on effect in the morning when I wake up feeling like I've been hit by a truck.

  127. I snuggle in bed and thaw out with my lovely warm electric blanket, I spend a few minutes appreciating my lovely comfy bed and how nice the duvet is. Then when I'm all sleepy and calm I get up to use the loo yet again!

Usually watch a sit com, milky (decaf) coffee, read my kindle, put kindle down, set alarm on phone, knock kindle off bedside table putting phone down, get out of bed to pick kindle up, get back in bed and sit on glasses, accidentally turn bedside lamp on (it's one of those you just touch it and it has 3 brightnesses, then turns off - so have to knock it onto next 2 brightneses) .... then I'll either hear a noise outside so have to go and look to investigate, or the outside light will come on ... so I'll have to go and see why (usually a cat) ..... you get the picture!
