Our 2020 Bucket List

I hope that you all had a wonderful Christmas and New Year. December was a busy month for the majority of us but with our winter wedding thrown in too it really was a crazy one - I'm only just starting to feel like we are getting back to some sort of normality and routine!

The Mini Mes went back to school last Tuesday and I'm back at work properly today so I thought it would be the perfect opportunity to have a think about the year ahead and write our bucket list. The only resolutions I've set are to be kinder to myself and read 52 books but there are quite a few things I'd like to tick off as a family/couple, as you can see below.

  • Explore the local area more (Northamptonshire, Warwickshire and Leicestershire)
  • Stay in a windmill, tree house, converted vehicle and castle
  • Have a weekend at a theme park
  • Take a family photo at least once a month
  • Decorate the children's bedrooms
  • Complete 12 random acts of kindness
  • Relax at a spa
  • Have a holiday abroad
  • Go camping
  • Enjoy a city break

  • Visit a waterfall
  • Go to the theatre
  • Try a new restaurant each month
  • Spend a day sightseeing in London
  • Have a weekend in Wales
  • Visit Scotland
  • See Lulworth Cove and Durdle Door
  • Visit seaside resorts in summer
  • Stay in the Peak District/Derbyshire
  • Have a fishing weekend away

You've probably noticed that a  lot of these involve travel but as that's a strong passion of ours, and I'm keen to see more of the world, I guess that's to be expected. I'm really looking forward to working through these and staying in some amazing new places.

  1. I have to read at least 50 books and camping on my bucket list this year. And you must visit Derbyshire, I live there and it's beautiful.

  2. I really want to do more days out this year and I am hoping to renew my passport and maybe try a few weekends away with the kids.

  3. A weekend at a theme park sounds great. They're all quite far from us so we'd probably have to do the same.
