Cauliflower Cheese Recipe

With the family visiting regularly over the Christmas period I've had to cater for all tastes. I've cooked quite a few dishes that I wouldn't usually make for myself including this creamy cauliflower cheese which was a huge success - to the extent I made a second two days later for everyone upon request and a third shortly after!

Yorkshire Pudding Recipe

Having seen quite a few flat and blackened Yorkshire puddings in my time it made me realise that the ones I make are actually rather good. They are always well risen, or giant sized you could say, crisp and golden in colour. Any leftovers are soon eaten too, whether with a delicious roast dinner or teamed with sausages and lashings of gravy, so I thought I should share my recipe.

200ml milk

4 medium eggs

130g plain flour

Pinch of salt

A Feast at Frankie & Benny's

It's always lovely to have a meal out instead of an evening at the oven so I was more than happy to accept an offer to dine at Frankie & Benny's recently. It had been a while since we had been (almost a year) and I was eager to taste test the new menu, with the Mr and my parents in tow, on a rare child free evening.

It was very busy upon arrival, which is generally a sign of a quality restaurant, and when we were seated we were told there may be a delay with our food. I felt this honesty was really professional and the server (Colin) was fantastic at ensuring we were happy and had drinks topped up at all times. We didn't even mind the wait, which was actually small, as we had a good chat about our exciting upcoming holidays anyway.
