A weekend in Norfolk

This picture sums up our weekend away, perfectly.
We travelled for a few hours north in the car to Feather Down Farm for a relaxing break, glamping.
If you aren't keen on the idea of popping up a tent in the middle of a field but like the thought of beautiful scenery in a peaceful environment this is the perfect get-away.
The tent is already assembled for your arrival, it has proper beds and wooden flooring.
It's cosy and comfortable with the natural world on your doorstep.
Sitting by the wood burning stove Saturday night, playing cards by candlelight and having a few drinks with the Mr was lovely.
I hadn't felt so stress-free in quite a while and getting back to basics with no technology in site makes you appreciate the important things in life, like good company.

  1. Looks pretty good to me :-)

  2. Wow it looks all cosey and sounds like it was a really good trip. I think we could all do with some technology down time sometimes!

  3. looks fab to me! in fact i would love one of these nights really soon!

  4. This sounds idyllic. We did something very similar over the Easter weekend but with temperatures of -5, it was far from relaxing!! I do like the idea of glamping...just need warmer weather ;)

  5. Nice blog! We spent a weekend in Norfolk as well at end of April and it was very nice, deep in the countryside, surrounded by farms and tractors great attraction for the little one. I should write a blog as I took some nice pics of yellow rapeseed fields.

  6. Sounds like the perfect weekend!

  7. Wow, what a fantastic picture!

  8. Ooh that sounds very nice indeed, and very romantic!

  9. My Gallery pic is based on camping too except mine is tea not beer and my tent certainly does not have posh candelabra!

  10. I have always wanted to go to a Featherdown farm, they look amazing! Maybe when I finish uni we will be able to afford it!
